About Me

WIN_20200826_10_03_51_Pro_edited.jpg

I am a Pueblo native born and raised in Bessemer.  I left immediately after High School graduation for basic training.  I have called South Korea, Georgia, New Mexico, and (of course) Colorado home.  I would love to travel more and enjoy experiencing other cultures.

I live here in Pueblo with my three boys, dog and cats.  My daughter currently lives in Kentucky (but will move to Italy soon).  Before pursuing a teaching career I served in the military and work for the military as a civilian.

I have a bachelors in Mathematics with an emphasis on secondary education from CSU-P.  I do plan on furthering my education by pursuing a masters degree soon!

I love music and listen to almost anything!  I can sing to songs from the 1940's as well as songs that currently play on the radio.  I also love to dance; I took my first dance class when I was 29 and absolutely loved it.

My favorite comic book artist is Micheal Tuner.  His influence is present throughout my house, as every piece of art work hanging is a painting or drawing that I have created.

When time allows for recreational reading, I choose books by Tim Dorsey, Chuck Palahniuk, R.A. Salvatore or Mario Puzo.  I also enjoy reading educational books by Carol Dweck, Jo Boaler, and several others.

I loved playing softball during my school years.  I enjoy swimming with my family taking them to museums and looking for odd and different experiences for all of us to try.

I look forward to discovering the unique abilities and talents that everyone in my classroom either possess or will soon discover.  I'm excited for this year and I hope you are too!
